When I started my podcast back in 2014, I had no clue what I was doing. I knew that it was easy to start a podcast - so I did! But I had no idea how to monetize a podcast into a profitable business. I didn’t know how hard it would be to grow an audience and start making money from my show. Podcasting was a passion of mine and of course, I wanted to make money doing what I love. Lucky for me, I had some amazing mentors behind me. One of them introduced me to affiliate marketing as a means of income. Affiliate marketing - or joint venturing as it’s known in my industry - turned out to be the way I first made income with my podcast within the first 7 weeks! 

Now, here we are, 8 years later, and I’m not only a podcast coach teaching audience growth hacks and monetization strategies, but an international best selling author on podcasting. And, had I known the methods I’d learned sooner, I would have been generating income within the first few days of my launch. Which is why I want to share some of my expertise with you now, so you can hit the ground running!

How to Grow a Podcast

I’ve helped to launch hundreds of podcasts over the last 7 years. And while there are many things that make growing a podcast easier, one of the best ways to grow your audience is by attending live events.

Live events, like my upcoming live event, REACH Live, give you a space and a platform to start sending your message out into the world. There is nothing quite like coming face to face and engaging with people who love podcasts. These people want to know more about you and what you do. Honestly, I give credit to live events I’ve attended through the years for a large part of the growth of my shows. It was a great way for me to meet new people, including podcast guests, and book spots to be featured as a guest on other people’s shows as well.
